Los árboles pasan por la ventana
"Suddenly I realize that someone is watching me. There was a taxi outside." Why did I get to the same images? It was the question I asked myself when I saw the seventy films. Something throbbed deeply between my memories, my adolescence, my childhood. It appeared like when I fell when I was six years old and lost my first two teeth - a scar that I still have. A terrible pain, my face swollen and my eyes red. Why do so many things come to my head? And I step back, there where you and I, somewhere else, half asleep, only being able to see through the window of that taxi: how the trees pass through the window. Intimate series of different photographic fragments taken in the present that narrate events that happened during my childhood and adolescence. The work represents an intimate and liberating re-discovery.

Bio
Chilean photographer. Graduated in professional photography (2013) from ARCOS - Art and Communication Institute, with a special focus on document, essay and author photography. Selected by the Union of Graphic Reporters and Cameramen of Chile (2015) to attend the workshop "Independent Photojournalism" dictated by the Spanish photojournalist Manu Brabo. Selected and awarded by the Museum of Memory and Human Rights (2015) for the workshop "Forgotten stories: Documentary photography from the idea to the exhibition / book" with the Portuguese photojournalist Joao Pina. Participations in FIFV, FOCCO, WABI SABI residence at Delta del Tigre, Argentina, among others. His group exhibitions include “Circo” (2016) Mapocho Station Cultural Center, Santiago, Chile and Lieu De La Mémoire: Un Musée contre L´Oubli (2015), GALERIE du MAI, Montreal, Canada, among others. Currently his work is focused on film, (35mm and 120mm) working as an essay and personal themes, such as the self-published book "Los árboles pasan por la ventana" (2021).
