The essence of humanity is constantly changing, both individually and in society. We study how these changes impact the use of the world's natural resources in order to build mankind’s habitat. After analyzing other living beings and their impacts on nature, our attention was directed to the birds' architectural processes. They use many varied materials and techniques, but they all have one thing in common: the way they interfere in the world by using natural waste to manufacture their homes with the least possible impact on their habitat. The "Manimal" project raises the question of how we can use our own manufactured wastes, reducing the impact and damage to the world. This artwork recreates the residues of men in a sculptural version, creating a space for a contemplative immersion in and of ourselves. Our motivation with this project is more than bringing solutions; we intend to present a different way of life, showing that the world was created with the communion of different species in the same surroundings, bringing a constant question to ourselves: what we want to leave behind for future societies.
